A year-round, Christ-centered home daycare in Elgin, IL for children ages 2–5, offering nurturing all-day care and intentional early learning led by Kiara Bobbitt, M.A.—while equipping parents to be active partners in their child’s learning.
Twos
Our 2 year olds follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum and participate in the same daily learning routines as our older children. Through songs, movement, play, conversation, and intentional instruction, children are introduced to letter names, counting, colors, vocabulary, and early social skills. We focus on building language, independence, confidence, and positive classroom routines while allowing plenty of time to explore and play.
Preschool (3-4)
Preschoolers build on those early foundations through a hands-on curriculum with a strong emphasis on early literacy and language development. Children develop letter and sound knowledge, phonemic awareness, pre-writing skills, number sense, fine-motor skills, and social-emotional skills. Learning is intentional, but childhood is protected through play-based learning that feels like fun.
Pre-K (4-5)
Our Pre-K curriculum provides purposeful kindergarten preparation while meeting each child where they are. Children strengthen phonemic awareness, early reading and writing, math, problem-solving, independence, and classroom readiness. We regularly observe each child’s progress so we can provide appropriate challenges and help families understand what their child is learning and how to support them at home.
At every stage, children are taught bible songs, scriptures, prayers, and biblical stories to teach them who God is and who they are in Him.
Our Approach
We believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and known. Through purposeful play, hands-on learning, early literacy, and biblical truth, we help children build confidence and strong foundations for the future. And because learning doesn’t stop at our door, we equip parents with practical tools to continue supporting their child’s growth at home.

Kiara Bobbitt, M.A.
I'm Kiara Bobbitt, M.A. in Teaching, educator and founder of The Learning House Christian Daycare. My experience spans Pre-K through elementary education and social work.I've seen firsthand how stressful Kindergarten can be when children enter without strong foundations-and when parents want to help but have never been shown how.That's why I build foundations for both: preparing children academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while equipping parents to become confident partners in their child's education.
